Taking stock (a little bit). In the past (before I found Food Combining in the 90's and Low Carbing in the noughties), I had dreadful heartburn and was always chewing Bisodols. I would also have wind, both ends (sorry). I suspect I may have inherited this weakness from my Grandmother. Finding FC and LC was a revelation for me. I enjoy both. I had great success with losing weight on LC and the bit of me above the belly button did well on it and I no longer needed the Bisodols. BUT below the belly button wasn't so good (constipation being the issue). FC is marvellous and mostly everything works better above and below the belly button. I enjoy the fact I can have grapefruit (I can have all fruit, but grapefruit is a joy). I have been back on FC for almost 2 weeks now and overall I have lost a little weight, the digestive process is working well and I am feeling 'up' about this WoE. I do know I could make better food choices, with more veggies and salad. More fruit too actually. But if my Mum could see what I eat now, in comparison to what I used to be like, she would be very pleased at what I eat now. She always despaired that I was a stodge eater and fruit and veg were 'poison' LOL! I'm chuffed really. I always say that FC and LC are my two weapons of chose in the flab fight, but they are also SO good for me. I swap from one to the other for a refreshing change if I start to be naughty. Often, in the last 10 years, I havent given FC a proper go. But now I am in the Zone with it and that makes me feel good in myself. My DH is off to the UK for 16 days soon and I am looking forward to no distractions, eating well and seeing how I get on. Sorry burbling on, but I really felt I wanted to say this.
