I've never put actual effort into taking care of myself. I did not put thought into what I ate or drank and exercise was something I did, but without commitment.
Of course, all that was not a problem when I was younger and my metabolism was, well, younger as well. Now though...
It's time to put effort and thought into myself. Being fit and healthy is not something that just happens. I want my body to reach its fullest potential.
Why I want to get into shape...To be healthy. I work in a nursing home and see firsthand the long-term consequences of poor diet and lack of exercise. To build endurance. I don't want to be just "skinny" I want muscle, tone, strength. Pride in a personal accomplishment. My focus and concentration are usually on something external...my job, my internship, class, etc. It's time to put some of that into myself and know that it's for me.
And hey...I wanna look good naked.
