I do the same as Lmurray, log everything to the app on my phone. it helps a lot. Just logging what you eat will make a huge difference, it seems to make me more conscious about my food choices. I noticed it keeps me more accountable and I'm less likely to make a 'bad food choice', probably because I have to see it Wink. Don't give up, everything worth while takes time.
