Hi, my name is Rachel. I'm 27 years old, 5'8", looking to get down to 135 pounds. I am from Illinois, near St Louis, and work as a medical transcriptionist. I have 2 dogs, Artemis and Layla.
I was doing the alli plan, then Weight Watchers for several months, and then I was just trying to gradually eat healthier and not overdo it (but not "diet"), and then tried using the Gabriel Method as a guide.
I'm not very athletic and I feel like exercise is one of the hardest parts for me to commit to but is also key because I have always been a yo-yo dieter, and that really messes with your muscle mass and, in turn, metabolism. I'm walking for exercise and trying not to get too crazy with it and end up burnt out and quitting.
One big goal is to fit into my size 12s, then BURN EVERY PIECE OF CLOTHING FROM SIZE 16-22!!! Ho-yeah. ^-^
ADDENDUM: Been gone for a couple of years, heh. Tried many, many more diets in those 2 years. I've been introduced to the Beck Diet Solution and have started that along with calorie counting, (1,500 calories/day), as my diet. Makes me feel a little pathetic that I'm EXACTLY where I was 2 years ago weight-wise, thinking back on the past 2 years of dieting and exercising. Ready for this struggle to be over once and for all, especially before I hit the big 3-0.
