losing 0.0 lb a week
I'm 44 years old and I have put on a ton of weight in the past 13 years. I was 115 # when I got married. I had my first child at 27 and my postpartum weight was 132#, I went to Jenny Craig and quickly went to my prepregnancy weight of 115. I can't believe that I have allowed myself to get like this. After 2 more children( the youngest is 7) I weigh more than when I was 9 months pregnant. I didn't even go to my class reunion this year because I am too embarrassed to let anyone see me like this. Gourmet food paired with a great wine has become such a focus; I have decided that I need to do something, I can't stand how I look and feel. I have tried Southbeach and Atkins but I'm tired of feeling guilty everytime I had something I wasn't supposed to have.
NEW ENTRY
As of April 27, I switched to the Fat loss 4 idiots. It is an 11 day menu, you eat 4 times per day, walk 30 min 2 x per day. You follow what they tell you to eat, you eat until satisfied but not full. After 11 days you eat what you want for 3 days and then generate a new 11 day menu. I'm not good at watching my food intake so I think this should work the best. I'm very excited about this new diet.
First goal is to lose 5% of body weight- 181# -Met May 18
-No longer considered obese according to CDC at 174 #.-Met June 21
Second goal is to lose 10% body weight - 172# -goal June 22- Met June 29th.
Third goal - 163# met Oct 5, 2008
Fourth goal - 155#
Fifth goal - 145- no longer overweight.
No longer considered overweight at 145# according to CDC
Sixth goal - 140

Flax seed
I've noticed a lot of people are using flax seed. Are you using it to stabilize your blood glucose levels or for anti-cancer, cardiac or just to keep you "regular"? I am currently doing a low carb diet and was wondering whether I should incorporate this in my diet.

Where is everyone from?
I'm from Euclid, Ohio just a few steps from the Cleveland border.
Originally from Scottdale Pa, a little town that boasts 2 red lights, about 35 miles Southeast of Pittsburgh. Left as soon as I was old enough.
Lived in Charlottesville Virgina for 2 years; talk about a beautiful place in the Blue Ridge Mts with all seasons but warms up in March.
Lived 4 years in Chicago Il, one block east and one block south of Wrigley Field- all time favorite place except for parking. Great party town and subway that rocks so you never have to drink and drive
Lived 2 years in Cambrige Mass- was right on Memorial Drive across the river from Boston, could walk across the bridge and be on Newberry street. Couldn't take full advantage, had just moved from Chicago married to my husband who was a poor postdoc at MIT. Industries are paying 80K/year now- I say- let them tough it out on 20K in one of the most expensive cities in the States!!
Have lived in Cleveland area since 1993- have been trying to move some place else for almost as long. My husband likes his job too much to want to move. I scream for sunshine

I am pregnant!
Congrats!!! Drink ice water (really icy) with lemon, it helps the nausea. Carry lemons everywhere- sniff them when a smell becomes overwhelming. Had three children and never vomited-Good Luck!!!

PLEASE HELP! ADVISE!? SOMETHING?!
Oh, I weigh way more than my husband. When he met and married me I was about 115#; weighing about 40# less than him. He knows my weight, but even if he didn't know it, you can tell by LOOKING at me that I weigh more than him. He is supportive of me losing weight because he knows that I will feel better about myself and it is healthier.

Miracle Noodles 0 carbs 0 calories
My sister just bought these and says they are great, she hasn't been able to find them anywhere else except online. She bought something similiar to them but thought the miracle noodles were better. She bought 30 packages and paid approx 17 dollars for shipping, she says the next time she orders, she is ordering 2 packs of 20 and esentially paying the same amount on shipping. I plan on buying some, the diet I'm doing is Fat loss 4 idiots and I will have them on my cheat days
