Weight History

Start Weight
269.0 lb
Lost so far: 20.3 lb

Current Weight
248.7 lb
Performance: losing 0.6 lb a week

Goal Weight
187.4 lb
Still to go: 61.3 lb
The main objective is to keep the calorie intake below 2000. I have problems with herniated discs throughout the lumbar spine due to abuse and unnecessary risks I exposed myself in sports. Due to this, exercise must be very slight and specific.
I'm starting a new weight loss journey with my girlfriend, with the goal of self motivation and to help others in any way we can.

Working Out - Not Losing Weight
What probably is happening to you, is that you're working hard as hell in your strenght workout and you're leaving cardio a bit behind... Cardio is the best way to lose "Fatness" in your body, strenght will help too, but is more prone to strenghten your muscles. What probably is happening, is that you're getting in shape, your muscles are becoming stronger and heavier, altough you're losing fat anyways, your muscle are getting heavier then the fat you lose, so you'll probably stay at the same weight or even gain some. Try to measure your body once a week, your chest, your waist and your hips, i'm sure you'll notice the volume of your body decreasing. Keep up with your work, try only doing more cardio then weight lifting. Wink

Belly Fat
Well, I really don't know if aren't able to do any type of exercise. If you can do everything I'd advise you running, try to start a normal walk for 5 minutes, a fast walk for 10 minutes, and then start running at your own pace for 20 to 30 minutes. A Pace that makes you sweat, but feel confurtable and not too tired. Aerobic exercises are the most effective against fat excess, try doing this for at least 3 times a week, and do some pillates every day for 30 minutes, you'll surely get results, but as I said, only if you can do these kinds of excercises, I don't know if your condition ables you to do it.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Well the ideal is to check your weight once every two weeks. Every week is acceptable, every day is not good at all, simply because your weight naturaly balances up and down during a day or from one day to another, and checking it everyday will bring your motivation down in no time... Oh and you should check it always in the morning after you wake up.
