I fast between Mondays and Fridays. On fasting days I track my meals amd aim to eat at least 20g of fibre and between 50g to 60g protein per day. I try to have a small portion of pulses in soup form with added meat and vegetables for lunch and salads on most days, mainly whole unprocessed foods and NO BREAD midweek! I aim to consume calories to just about over 50% RDA I snack on airpopped popcorn, an apple or small amounts of mixed nuts in the evenings or when hungry between meals. My dinner on at least 3 nights is a bowl of live yoghurt and milk added to bran flakes, linseed, nuts and dried fruit which are allowed to swell over 3 hours or so before I would eat it. It's very filling specially drinking water afterwards. I feast from Friday night till Sunday night. My partner and I go out for beers and curries usually on Fridays. Saturday mornings I have a large bacon baguette, soup lunch and we eat out again in the evenings like steak and chips, pub meals or take aways. Sometimes a cooked breakast on Sundays but always a roast chicken dinner later with lots of vegetables, wine, nuts and olives. I am loosing about a pound a week on average! I move slowly but a lot, I stand only at my job. I try not to sit down too much. I believe the high intake of fibre and enough protein during fasting days are crucial. I very occasionally eat something sweet or a dessert on weekends and then it might omly be a carrot cake slice or tinned peaches. I am pleased with my progress to date!
