Hi, I'm Karen and I'm overweight. I started "The New Atkins for a New You" on November 1, 2015 as recommended by my endocrinologist. I weighed 258 then. (I had weighed as much as 290 post surgery and 310 pre-surgery.) I exercise at least 3 times per week plus some walking. I really can't believe this WOE (Way of eating) is working for me. Help and support me if you can.
I have also had diabetes for over 20 years and am trying to control it. It is getting better with the low carb diet and exercise.
I have been overweight a long time. I had bypass surgery and lost weight for about 5 years. But then I had a nervous breakdown and ate to feel better. (REALLY, REALLY dumb I know.) I gained most of the weight back. Now that I am 56 and have a good WOL (Way of Life) to control my diabetes and nerves, I want to get serious about losing the weight again and live longer to see my 3 beautiful granddaughters grow up.
