I'm turning 50 at the end of this year and I would love to hit goal by my birthday, or be at least within 5 pounds of it. I hit a similar goal about 3 years ago. Then getting married, moving to another state, changing jobs, sending my daughter off to college, my son going away to grad school, and adjusting to my new surroundings, hubby and teenaged stepdaughter just overwhelmed me. I quit exercising and ate whatever. My hubby and stepdaughter (with whom I've settled into a very pleasant relationship) had 4 food groups in their diet when I came along - ice cream, bacon, chili and tacos. That hasn't change much and is my biggest challenge. My second biggest challenge is exercise, making myself do it on any kind of regular basis. My third challenge is not turning to food to temporarily relieve stress or boredom. It's always been my go to. I'm counting my calories and trying to lower my sodium consumption. I plan to try and exercise 45 minutes most days with 1 or 2 days off. Our 3rd anniversary is Aug 7th and it sure would be cool if I could fit back into my wedding outfit.
