Who said calorie counting is boring, i don't record my meals on here but i do in a notebook and find planning them key, today as an example i have 1 pint skimmed milk, 4 coffees with 2tsp sugar in each, breakfast is a banana, apple and clementine (i always have 3 different fruit for my breakfast), lunch was a piri piri chicken salad with wholegrain rice and tea is 2 sausages, 200gr mashed sweet potato and 100gr green beans with a splash of gravy, my snacks are a high fibre date and orange fibre bar and 200gr fat free vanilla yoghurt that takes me to 1580 calories so i still have enough for another little snack which may be cherries or grapes. The colours on my plate are wonderful and look so tasty and i think that is half the battle, everyday i have at least 3 pieces of fruit an abundance of bright coloured vegetable/salad and i feel good knowing i am making the right choices, as a rule i try to have oily fish once a week, white fish once a week, red meat once a week and the rest is chicken. Chicken is so versatile, maggi do a range where you chop it all up and put in a bag and simply cook in the oven, my whole family (and that includes two kids age 7 & 14) really enjoy these especially the paprika chicken, i had morrocan chicken the other day on our "date night" served with wholegrain basmati rice and i did a lovely salad with spinach, watercress and rocket leaves and sweet tomatoes with red onion and fresh coriander it looked so lovely and was so tasty. I just wanted to share this with everyone to show a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be boring, have a nice day xx

gosh I'm shattered, went to my sisters this weekend which is a 3 hour drive, our car has blown up so luckily the in laws leant us theirs, was love to catch up and also see my little nephew jack whom I have only seen 3 times now in 15 months, mum and dad came too. Had wedding hair trial and Ioved what she did, the wedding is only 8 weeks away now. Food and drink wise this weekend wasn't too bad until today, we were at hairdressers for 11.30 but didn't get out till 3.30 then got 3 hour trip home so we had McDonald's, Saturday was bbq and I had a glass of wine and 2 pimms and tonic. Tomorrow I shall start to be strict with myself again so I am in better shape for the wedding and I need to drink plenty of water to get my skin glowing although I am quite lucky and have good skin anyway. Right off to bed now, night xx
