I'm a grandmother from Virgina with 100 lbs to loose. I live in the middle of nowhere where it takes just about an hour to get to town.
I lost 38 lbs then quit and gained half of it back. After an accident and several leg surgery I can't do exercise that include the use of my legs. That is how I gained back the weight, sitting, reading, watching TV and EATING. I am now getting back to my feet again and starting over but still can't do the normal exercise. I am setting small goals, eaiser to reach, then setting another.

Went to a festable Sunday. Hard to believe but I didn't eat anything. Not even Funnel Cake. And it sure looked good! We parked on the wrong side of the tracks and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs and 4 flights down to cross the RR tracks. Then we spent a good 3 hours just walking around and enjoying the sights. Then back up 4 flights and down 4 flights to get to the car. That might not sound like much to some of you but I have recently gotten over a knee replacement and to those of you, like me who haven't gotten as much exercise as you should have recently,it was a lot and needless to say, my legs are now like cement they are so sore and stiff. Now I just have to keep it up.

I think it's working.
I think my Thyroid meds are finally kicking in. I got on the scales this morning expecting to have gained another pound but I was surprised.We had a big cookout yesterday and I ate too much but when I weighed today I was down 1 pound. That isn't much but 1-lb in 4 days, I'll take it.

Sick of it
I am so sick of gaining weight every time I get on the scales. I am gaining an average of 1.5 to 2 lbs a day. And I've been eating very little. The Dr says it's my Thyroid and fluid.He's working on getting my meds straights so it will get back to normal. It did this about 2 years ago, once we got it straight, it stopped. Now here we go again. I stopped my Fatsecret because I was so depressed. No matter how hard I tried, I'd gain. But I hope my body is back in order by now so I'm going to try again. Wish me luck.

Over the past few weeks I've tried to not list everything that I eat but have been very carefull not to over indulge, to change my eating habits. It didn't work. I'm up 1 lb. I guess that's not too bad, it could have been much worse. But it doesn't help ether. I've bought every kind of veggie you can think of and tried dozen of new recipes trying to keep on track. Most were pretty good or at least OK. The trouble is my husband is not a big veggie fan. He will take 2 bites and he's done. Then fills up on cookies and chips. That only temps me to join him. Sometimes I do but most of the time I can resist. If it were for him we would eat meat, potatoes, gravy and bisquits every day. It's tricky when I'm cooking for more than myself.I guess I better start listing what I eat and watch my portions.

lost 2 weeks
I feel like I'm starting from scratch. It's been 2 weeks since I've been on here and the results aren't good. We've been out of town and when we returned I put on 2 pounds. I keep hoping it's all fluid because my feet are double in size. I ran out of my fluid meds while we were gone and of course I thought I'd be fine till I got home. Wrong! I couldn't believe the size of my feet and ankles. They have gone down quite a bit but are still some what puffy.Of course I did eat all the wrong things, a lot of eating out. So now I'm paying the price. It doesn't take long to screw yourself up but takes forever to get back in shape.
