I am a 39 year old mother of two wonderful kiddos, ages 16 & 8. I have always struggled with my weight since I was in grade school. Over the years I have lost weight and would keep it off for awhile, but once I started having my children, it began to get even harder to keep the weight off. I would lose weight only to gain back even more, and after my second child, my weight slowly crept up to a whopping 270.
Then one day, I was just tired! Tired of being so heavy, Tired of sweating all the time, Tired of being a bad example for my children, Tired of my mother, who was in better shape than me, worrying about MY health all the time, Tired of my son telling me how soft and squishy I was and especially Tired of no longer being able to fit into the rides at Six Flags and having to tell my son, that "Mommy might not be able to ride this one with you."
So I knew that I needed CHANGE in my life! I just DECIDED that I WAS going to do this. Not, maybe, but YES, I will change my life and be the example that I want to be for my family and especially for my children.
I WANTED TO BE A SUCCESS STORY!! And now 125 pounds lost in just over a year, the BEST feeling in the world (besides fitting into a size 6/8 down from a tight 24) is my 16 year old daughter telling me how proud she is of ME! Now that is success!! :)
