My weight when I got married was 115 lbs. I use to be in shape and I ate very well. Having kids was not my problem, I lost all my baby weight when we had our first child. About 6 years ago I gained 15 lbs and wanted to lose the weight so I tried the Adkins diet for 6 weeks and that really caused me a lot of problems. I went to the Doctor and many issues later...you get the picture. I have gained several lbs over the years. I have tried different diets with no weight loss. If anything they caused me to gain more weight. I wanted to do a detox back in 2007 but the Lord had other plans. We were pregnant again...WOOHOO for us!! I put the detox off until I was done with the pregnancy and nursing. I tried a juice detox after that and I hated it!! I was on it for 6 days and was STARVING the entire time so I quit. I did a little more research and decided to try a water detox. I did a 10 day water detox with great success!!! The water detox reset my system and helped put my hormones back in balance, which was one of my issues. I lost 7 lbs of fat in the process so I was pumped to lose more weight. My starting weight before the water detox was 204 lbs my highest weight ever, and a very depressing moment for me. After the detox my weight was 197 lbs. I knew the best way to lose the rest of the weight I needed to lose was to count my calories. I downloaded the calorie counter by fat secret and that was all she wrote. I have been counting my calories ever since and I lost 50 lbs just by doing that 1 simple thing. I've started exercising and that's made a big difference, I've lost 84lbs in 11 months. I'm doing Power 90X and at this point I would like to shed a little more body fat, and gain some muscle. I'm not going to worry so much about my weight right now as long as my body fat goes down and I lose the inches I need to lose off my waist and mid-section.
