Assistance Needed with Adjusting Recipes or food for One Person
Hi Melanie...welcome! I do a fair bit of batch cooking myself and I find the easist way to "portion food for one serving" is to add the recipe to the 'My Cook Book'. It's a bit of a pain to look for all the food items for your recipe AND then remember to add the # of servings LoL but once it's in the Cook Book - you just add it to your daily intake for the day that you eat it.

EG. Chicken Parm.to freeze in individual portions...you're cooking 4 chicken breast, 2 cups of tomato sauce, 1 can of mushrooms....- etc. etc. - ADD # of servings which is 4...the Cook Book automatically tallies all of the calories, carbs, fat for 1 serving. I hope that made enough sense to be useful to you!

Good Luck!

Low-Carb Diet Struggle with Pooping Lol
Any change to your diet can lead to changes in your bowel habits,
especially when you first get started.
I, personally, add dried lentils (for more fiber)to my daily menu. The cooking process is time consuming at first but the benefits of regular bowel movements far outweighed that inconvenience!! You can used canned lentils, kidney beans, chickpeas etc.too if your not opposed to using processed foods.

Drink lots of water! When you aren’t drinking enough water, your body begins pulling water from your colon to combat dehydration. That is a major cause of constipation.

You also gotta move that body! Something as simple as an after meal stroll can encourage your bowels to get moving.

If you don't get any relief with the extra water and exercise, talk to your doctor. Constipation can be caused by any number of health conditions or even medication. Your doctor can be your biggest ally in your weight loss journey.
Good Luck!!
