No advantage to avoiding a large amount of food options. If anything, it's a disadvantage since maybe you can lead a more normal social life/diet by dropping it.

Also, you say you agree with me about CICO but then go on a rant about carbs and insulin. I understand if you're referring to a calorie surplus but it sure does not appear that you refer to that. You're just throwing out words like 'can't' in caps saying you can't burn fat eating sugar. In a calorie deficit, at the end of the day, you will have a net fat loss no matter the source of calories.

Ok, And where exactly did I shame anyone? Also, Prove SCIENTIFICALLY that ANYTHING I said was incorrect? There was no SHAME anywhere in that. On the contrary, you can go to ANY endocrinologist ANYWHERE and tell them EXACTLY what I told her and they will AGREE with you. Actually, ASK HER if she felt shamed.

Except, I had someone make a thread thanking me for helping them. Ok, man, you didn't shame her, but only because she buys into what you believe regarding carbs. She felt that she needed to hear that misinformation....

The back and forth is pointless, I'm done trading ugly words. I apologize for not being courteous. We agree on most points and that's enough for me. My calorie deficit is why I've lost weight, I believe targeting carbs and sugars accelerated the effect. I don't want to end up like those people in the NY Times article about The Biggest Loser and keeping sugar in check in my diet will help avoid that outcome. Anyway, enjoy the gym, I'll try to enjoy domestication. lol

Hey guys... I believe that Knuckles quote was from my Cinammon Toast Crunch rant... Actually, I was ashamed of my own behavior. When I saw Knuckles post, I felt secure (sounds cheesy) but I felt like I had a fitness buddy giving me support so I wouldn't repeat that same mistake. Knuckles never shamed me, he gave me the reality of what happens when you binge at night. Diablo, you wrote "carbs are good, eat more" that actually made me feel a bit embarrassed because I was trying not to repeat the cereal incident. In fact, I figured you were one of the personalities who tried to tamper with one's progress. As we wrote, I saw you worked with a different method than LCHF, but I wasn't convinced because I know how my own addictions can get outta hand quick! As for calling each other girly names, is it supposed to be insulting to be labeled a female? There are some women out there that could kick all your asses... Lol. Maybe even a female president... That is more shameful to disrespect someone by changing their gender because it implies females are the inferior gender, which we are not!! Either way, continue on with the debate.. It's good reading for a Tuesday night (this is the real entertainment on FS!)

I apologize if I am coming off as disrespectful. Not my intent. Im just tired of being called out by this guy as shaming people and giving bad information when I have done no such thing. I have spoken from personal experience and EVERYTHING I have said is backed by science and the study of endocrinology. And I am pretty sure Diablo is sharing Gym Bro science. CICO is not what I discuss, because yes it is how we lose weight. He seems to think that there are no HURDLES to this though. Like PHil has so many times stated. Obese people have a little more trouble just using CICO because of inherent problems with our ability to lose weight due to elevated insulin levels. I am not trying to call him stupid. I am only pointing out that he seems to be willfully ignorant of science and facts. YOU. CAN. NOT. BURN. FAT. WITH. ELEVATED. INSULIN. LEVELS. <----- Scientific FACT!!!! Insulin ONLY increases during the consumption of Calories. Or triggering certain Sensory reactions. (Smelling FOOD can trigger insulin level increase.) Or DIRECTLY INJECTING Glucose into the blood stream. The simple fact is to burn fat efficiently you need to decrease your insulin level. The BEST way to lower Insulin is to lower Carbohydrate and sugar intake and FASTING. And once your body has adapted to this and lowered your insulin over TIME. you can SLOWLY start increasing Carb intake. SLOWLY. Its not the carbs or glucose making us fat. Its INSULIN causing us to STORE the fat.

"Bye Felicia" is from the movie Friday, I wasn't using it to put women down. He said he didn't want to speak to me anymore, so I quoted that movie. Anyway, I guess it is only popular in my neck of the woods. Funny thing, I'm an anti "gym bro", you silly people. Gym bros believe in no carbs before bed(like monk), eat 5-7 small meals, have protein directly after a workout, eat "clean", don't skip meals, etc. I'm no bro. If being in shape is being a "bro", I am proud of being one.....

Diablo, Being a Bro is a good thing. Being a Gym Bro, is NOT a good thing when it comes to losing weight. You can go from being a Gym Bro to being a Bro by not being a dick. I WANT to like you. But you are just too damn adversarial. And how did the lifting session go? What did you work on tonight? It would have been Back and bicep day today for me. I don't Dislike you man. But you make it DAMNED hard to get along with you. We need to find some common ground. We already agree that CICO is the basis for ALL weight Loss. That point is uncontested. I need for YOU to understand one thing though. There are biochemical conditions that render some bodies UNABLE to burn fat. Namely Metabolic problems DIRECTLY relating to Insulin levels in the blood. Once that condition is remedied, CICO WILL work. That has always been my argument.

Man, I've been reading about this stuff for 15+ years, daily. I have yet to see or hear of anyone unable to lose fat. Provide me a link where they had someone in a metabolic ward study that was unable to burn fat in a calorie deficit.
