I bought a barbell last week and all of a sudden this happened. please be temporary.
145.1 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 11.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hey…I read your bio and we have some things in common. I just started biking again and bought some weights, but I wanted to give my two cents about alcohol. Rewind to July 1st and prior and I was a “go to the garage at 9pm and stumble out to go to bed when it was tough to stand up anymore” kind of guy. I started waking up at 4am and only bought two little 50ml shots per night and it didn’t take long to acclimate to a 10pm bed time instead of midnight or 1am. Take away three hours of drinking time and it’s amazing! Anyhow, I’m down to having two little 50ml shots twice a week now and it’s at the point where I don’t even necessarily need or want them. I didn’t experience any kind of withdrawal or anything which kind of surprised me, but I guess I weaned myself off without really realizing it. Anyhow…good luck!

Sore muscles fill with liquid that feeds them, recover damaged tissues and promotes growth as a respond to the elevated lifting needs. You are not going to be Arnold, you are not going to get fat, you are going to transform your muscles and look more elegant. Forget about the scales. Look at the mirror. Measure yourself with a tape and log. As days go by your body will adapt and those liquids will get off your body. Don't worry.
