jmb3450's Journal, 20 April 2015

I had a very productive weekend around the house - digging in edging along the garden borders and cleaning the garage Saturday, taking down some big tree limbs and cleaning up the mess on Sunday. I got about a cord of firewood from it. That should have burned some calories...no workouts other than that as my back had had it by the end of each day. Just thankful that I've recovered from my back injuries enough that I can do fairly heavy work.

Forgot about a scheduled breakfast at work today but got through it at an estimated 500 calories. I'll adjust dinner accordingly, would like to keep total daily calories around 1500 at least through Wednesday to make up for some extra calories last week.

WOW...I will SAY you can do "fairly heavy work!"...except I would leave out the "fairly". lol...You ROCKED it this past weekend. And congrats on breakfast. I can only imagine what you foods/carbs you surely said NO to just to stay at 500 cals. Great example of RESISTING ALL OR NONE THINKING...(i.e. well,I had a rough start to day so I will just totally use the day as MAJOR cheat day.) That is one of the BIG advantages of logging food, as you ALREADY know and practice...It helps us to know that one off plan meal does NOT have to "ruin" the whole day :) thanks for being such a terrific FS Buddy :)

It's the whole point of losing the lbs and lifting weights at the gym, though, isn't it? To be healthy enough to function in our daily lives? Fantastic, JMB! It's the life of the fit & slim.
