wholefoodnut's Journal, 29 August 2014

Reasonable day, no gym but walked a good fast mile. Eating not so great, still within calories but not the best nutrition, especially with a sundae at work. Special company sponsored support the Royals day, hot dogs, peanuts, and ice cream sundaes. Lots brought in extra goodies. I forgot about it. Did not have a hot dog, but did have a sundae.

Went to the blues concert, first band was good, but not one that had the crowd involved. 2'nd one didn't happen as a storm rolled in they said they weren't playing. We left, they may have played late as the storm fell apart and mostly missed us, I live about a mile away. Was good still drinking water, no beer.

My son said there was a rain delay in the Kansas City soccer game. Hope the weather is nicer for the weekend and Labor Day. :)

Have a feeling if we would have stayed, they probably played. Supposed to be a mostly nice weekend. Hoping for a dry night tomorrow as am taking at least the triplets to the country concerts. I know the feature band is really good and high energy, last year they played for 3.5 hours.

Ruhu, the band is Low Cash Cowboys, they tour with a lot of big names, have one cd that I know of. The 2 lead guys write and have lots of hits that they have written for others. They put on a high energy amazing show. I think the kids will love it, I did last year.

A little ice cream won't hurt you - especially since I know how well you usually eat! Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Buffy, thanks, I had lots of calories to spare in my average for the week, just not the best on nutrition yesterday. I have a day like that here and there. I think everyone does. Sundae tasted good but would gave liked it less sweet, odd.

Hot dogs are EVIL! If people only knew what they were putting in their bodies. O_O I know what you mean about the sundae being too sweet. I'm getting to be that way with food as well. Sounds like a fun day.

Just the thought of eating a hot dog almost makes me sick. I've seen them being made, nasty things. Many deli meats like bologna are the same. So is most ground chicken and turkey and sometimes other ground meats.

It's enough to get rid of your appetite for sure!

Just look up what goes into hotdogs. Lots of orifices and nozzles. "One please... with mustard and ketchup." Cancer rates in children has been linked to hotdogs.

Scary... why do they still sell them? I've gotten to where I buy even sausage and ground meats from Wayne. He's a butcher I know. I've watched him work. I know what goes into what he sells. May cost a little bit more but worth it or I grind my own. I also buy many things kosher or more available here halal, same restrictions as kosher.

Hot dogs and deli meats also can contain a certain percentage of things like hair according to FDA regs.

So...day 3 of no food for me! Kidding! I am SO GLAD I don't eat meat anymore. Just EW! I do feel halal is a little more humane. northernmusician you cracked me up. "One please" YUK! lol
