I ate some bad food last night... I went to my friend's house and she made deep-fried, battered zucchini and mushrooms... Goodness was it good though. So I must be good today!

The usual for breakfast, a salad for lunch and whatever delicious concoction my boyfriend makes tonight. He's helping my new-found healthy conscious by creating low-carb, vegetable loaded dinner dishes. I'm truly thankful for his support. :)

I've found that since I've been focusing on what I've been eating, I've been a bit happier. I don't think I'm ready for an actual exercise regimen yet... my boyfriend and I like to take walks at night and that's helping me a lot to be excited to exercise.

It's common for me to fall off a couple weeks into eating healthier... I feel it coming. I remember when I was working out everyday for a month, it became routine. Isn't it said that if you continue a habit for (on average) 30+ days it becomes a habit? If I could just push it til the end of the month, I'll be in a lot better shape mentally.

I used to work out with my best friend before I moved here. It was perfect, we would push each other and laugh during our work out which didn't make it feel like exercise at all... I miss her. :( Sigh... it's just not the same without her.

For something to because a habit you need to like doing it. If you really hate to exercise then it can never become a habit. Choosing to eat healthy will make it easier to stick to your diet plan. If you eat junk food you will soon afterwards be hungry again but if you eat clean food you will feel full and then you won't have cravings. It takes a while to get rid off most of our bad habits.

I have a suggestion for a 30 day habit. Weigh your food and log it all. It looks like you're spotty on that. Eating 'healthier' is a good concept, but everyone defines it differently. Coconut oil is an example. It's now considered a health food. It used to be they considered the equivalent of ingested death. Taking in 1500 cals of it a day on top of your regular calories is still not healthy. If you want a link to an article that talks about what constitutes healthy, and why in some ways it's a myth, send me a PM and I'll send you the link. It really made me think.

Congrats on your progress. Keep up the good work. You can do it! We all have slumps but everyday is an opportunity to start again and make it a success.

I think it's going to be different this time. You are sharing the experience with someone, and you are enjoying it. Keep making it interesting and you will be sticking with it. Keep up the good work.

Boyfriend sounds great! Between the cooking and the walking, he's a keeper! Don't sweat last night. Could have been MUCH worse!

I agree with Yduj57! He is a keeper and it definitely could have been worse. Fried veggies are certainly better than fried twinkies! ;)
