Convenience really takes a toll on choosing the right lunch choices. Maybe I need to take the time to plan my next day's meals the night before?

A curve ball has been thrown at us! My boyfriend works at the local paper and a dog just popped up in his office. Turns out, this dog has been train hopping from California to Kansas to here in Wyoming. According to the animal shelter that housed Grimmy before he traveled here, his original parents were homeless. I'm not quite sure of the rest of the story, but he's gotten his rabies shots and he's one of the sweetest dogs you'd ever meet! He's (seemingly) a mix of Shar pei and German Shepard and he's somewhere between 1 year to 2 years old.

Whomever this dog belonged to before he came into our lives really seemed to care for him, he's so well behaved and just a lover! I'm feeling very attached to him, and would love to keep him, but of course we need to give our due diligence and try to track down his original owners. In the meantime, we've taken Grimmy in and have been taking care of him for a couple days now, so there's plenty of time for someone to claim him. But if they're not the original owners, I'll fight them for him! :):):)

Awwwww our pupper was found in Miami and was shipped up to Iowa....I love dogs!!! And it is so much easier planning at night, I usually do or plan right when I get up...that way you're not rushing and grab something you shouldn't!!! Good idea!

I always plan my meals days earlier. To me it's fun. Right now I have everything planned out until Sunday. During the day I tweak some of the grams but that's it. It's a good way to not go over your RDI.

The best thing you can do is take your meals into your own control. My biggest failure was refusing to eat while at work (sometimes 5-8+ hours of starving) just so I wouldn't ruin a diet. Eat the right foods for your body to keep your metabolism working in order. It takes some work, but it's the only way! (:

Convenience is the devil... a devil that's ultimately overcome-able, however. My situation currently allows me to stop by the local grocery store (Whole Foods...I know, I'm a bit lucky for that one) and handpick my lunch everyday. Perhaps you do not have that luxury? Have you considered getting grocery materials at the beginning of the week, premaking lunch for the week, and just grabbing it every day when you head out? (ie. creating your own convenience, in other words).

Talk to MrsMole. You're supposed to just keep them... all of them. Plan your meals? What kind of crazy talk is that? :P
