I'd use real cheese; that one there looks suspect!

Turkey bacon is not healthful. Cholesterol is your FRIEND. E!ven my doctor has figured it out now! Glad more and more MD's are catching on.

Looks like a great breakfast. Real unsalted butter in coffee is great; you might also try coconut oil (my preference).

coconut oil in coffee? What for...I really dont know.

Butter (alone) in coffee is a variant of what has come to be known as "bulletproof" coffee. One recipe is unsalted butter, and MCT oil. It's good. I know a local coffee shop around here that makes it. But since coconut oil is full of MCT you can use that as well.

@Lon Dunk, what kind of MD is that says eating pigs better than eating turkeys..

I tried Atkins years ago, which uses a very similar diet to ketogenic. While it did put me into ketosis and I did lose some weight, I found I had bad carb cravings most of the time. And my cholesterol was rising because of it. I am now just doing caloric restriction and exercising. I would be interested in hearing the experiences of those currently on a ketogenic diet. Has your cholesterol increased?

@ 20-to-loose.... umm pig tastes better and is higher in fat for the ketogenic and high fat dieters.

Just had blood work done and after 2 months on keto my values were all good.
