I just looked back at my weight history and I'm pretty bummed. I realized that I haven't really lost any weight this year-- the whole year. I was 152 last June and I'm 151 right now and I've been fluctuating up and down- don't let my entered weight confuse you, I just didn't want to record again until it went down. I have spent the whole year thinking that I've got things under control, that I know how to do this and that 1 cheat day here and there (or way more than I think I've had) won't hurt anything.
I thought my weight loss was slower than it was the previous two years, but I didn't realize that it had stalled. I think part of the problem is that I'm just so much more comfortable with who I am now than I was at 196. At 148 I'm at least 10 pounds lighter than where I spent most of high school and college and I feel ok overall-- there's not that same urgency to lose to feel normal or "like me" as there was.
That being said, I'm not happy with this weight, and I was right in one sense-- I know how to do this. I haven't been doing it, but I know how to. I've said at least 100 times this year that I'm going to buckle down and do it, but this will be the last. Hubby and I have made a pact to only eat out twice more until my cousin's wedding at the end of July, so that should help-- but most of my problems are eating at home, not out. I also have a treadmill now and I'm running regularly (3-4 days a week)-- so that's really awesome. I'm making a Mid-year Resolution-- by this time next year I will be at my goal weight. It's only 31 more pounds. I can do it.

Look at it this way - - you didn't regain all that weight, either. You can do it!

I am in the same boat...I haven't had any progress and I know what to do but I lose the drive because it's a smaller amount to go. We CAN do this! No better time than right now :)

How about goal weight by the end of the year.... 31 pounds in 7 months.. you can do it!!! Get it, girl!
