I can't remember the last time I checked in, but it was probably near the time I moved in with my in laws and completely started disregarding my diet for not trying to get over the awkwardness of using their kitchen. Also, I'd been hooping pretty regularly, so I'd managed to maintain the status quo... until the holidays, when I pretty much let everything go- hence the gain. I was actually down to 190 at one point. ><;;

I know this program works for me, though, so I'm starting over and going to go back to tracking my meals and activities, and hopefully I will see some progress. This is extra important to me because my opthamologist said he found some microaneurysms in my eyes, which are a result of high blood sugars. The good news is that it's very early, so the damage is reversible with regular maintenance. It's just disheartening because I've had at least a year of being super good about it without even thinking, but now I'm falling back into old habits. So, I'm starting new!

I have to see my optho again in 9 months to check my eyes, so I'm hoping by then I will be active and have lost enough weight so that I don't have to be on as much medication as I am now. My fasting blood sugar was a horrendous 160 this morning.. but that's pretty much due to the fact that I was snacking on craisins 'til after midnight last night... Yeah- happy new year. ;P The good thing is, at least I'm aware of what eating habits cause the spikes. Now it's just a matter of following my diet conscience...
