I kind of figured out that for me, in order to keep myself on track with my weight loss I need to be motivated and intersted in the diet or lifestyle that keeps me healthy. When i do one thing for a long time, i get bored of it and then slowly slip back into my old ways and habits again.
So my new method is going to be to always find something interesting to keep me going, whether that is a new healthy recipe, a new exercise routine, calorie counting, or GREEN SMOTHIES (which is my current kick and im having success with it). Or just simply the motivation to be healthy, live longer, and see the scale tip to the left,
So right now its green smoothies, i find that i feel really good about it and ive lost one pound in 2 days . i drink one for breakfast and one for a snack , and eat a healthy lunch and dinner.
a typical green smoothie for me has half a banana, half a pear, half an apple, one kiwi, half a stalk of cellery, a couple branches of fresh cillantro, and about 2 cups of leafy greens, which i blend up in a high powered blender with a couple ice cubes .. i feel like its super healthy energy food and i feel great all morning and afternoon - by dinner im ready for something a little heavier (but still healthy) and dont feel bad about eating some home made pasta, because each smoothie has about 250 calories in it and it really fills you up and makes you feel full of energy throughout the day., i will monitor my progress with this for hte next 2 weeks and see how far i can get
