Same old story.....I can see where one can get discouraged, but I will not give in to that. It's bound to happen. Knee is hurting and hot, so no walking today.

Hi I wanted to comment about the knee issue. I used to walk on concrete alot! my knee just about gave out & I was diagnosed with beginning arthritis. I started walking/jogging on a treadmill and I do knee lifts to exercise that knee joint. I know everyone is different but what a relief!!

Linedancer, thank you for the good advice. I also did a lot of walking on concrete, used to walk every day, and I do have arthritis in my joints. I have a recumbent bike here at home. I think I will use that instead.

I have arthritis in my knees and stand/walk on concrete for my job. I use Sketcher's Shape-Ups and they help so much. They aren't good for biking and idk about running, but walking and standing the extra padding and support help so much. They are a bit pricey but Famous Footwear sometimes has them for about 1/2 price.

lilycat, thank you for sharing what works well for you. I have found that Jambu Sandals now work best for me due to some foot problems I have (surgery caused this years back). These shoes have been a God sent. I can actually walk in them.
