I am working towards walking 5-6 days a week for an hour each day.
Other goals:
under 1,500 mg sodium a day
I am trying more of an old style Mediterranean Diet strict for now-eventually I will ease up on some of this
Less saturated fat/cholesterol--cholesterol is high--I just found out
so more fish, no chicken, beef, or turkey for now or shrimp and the like---the best would be to eat all plant based proteins for now when possible.
olive oil better than low fat sour cream and lite mayo
No dairy that has saturated fat or cholesterol or egg yolks
2 cholesterol lowering items a day(one in the form of food) probably apple or oatmeal old fashioned
no sugary items
tofu good and beans/rice
water 12-14 a day still in cups
more veggies and fruits
just some caffeine daily
no sugary or white flour garbage.
No alcohol
Sparkling waters good, not soda
Logging food and exercise before/after the fact or of course on the day best
Peanut butter and the like okay
Find more alternatives to wheat. Eat whole grain in pastas and bread.
Take supplements twice a day for life
There are other things I am doing to make my life better
Stay close to calorie limit of 1,455 daily
This plan is the plan until 8/8
There will be two holidays, a birthday and a wedding before 8/8 that I will cut down, but not cut out if I don't want to.
Staying accountable and accounting for others.

I wish you every success in this. Have you this list pinned up at home and in your purse? There is a lot to remember but Im sure after a while it will be ingrained into your mind. Keep us posted :) Mo
