Well, this Fat Fast is pretty much a bust. It was a great run, but I did not achieve the 90% fat each day. Protiens kept pushing my percentages down. I ended up adding too many protiens in attempt to cover up taste.

This ended up as a super-strict Atkins Induction for me, as I was disciplining myself to reduce calories and add more fats. It was great practice and learning for me as I continue with my Atkins WOE. It looks like I will net out about 2 pounds down in 4 days (not too shabby!), but I will do my final weigh in tomorrow. Unfortunately, since I did not hit the 90% fat each day, I wasn't able to achieve the intended 6-8 lb loss that a true Fat Fast should provide.

I am still trying today to increase fats and reduce calories, as this is my final Day 4. I am not going to give up or be disheartend by this. Again, it was great learning and discipline, which I will practice ongoing. And perhaps, in the future, I once again try to conquer a Fat Fast. It is definitely on my to-do list.

Good luck with that! Its a lot harder than it sounds. I just got so tired of macadamia nuts and cream cheese that I wanted to scream when I did it but I dropped 5-6 each time so well worth the few days of discipline.

Holly, You did the best you could and that's all you can ask !! You're right it is a learning leason and no it really isn't all that easy...sometimes that darn gag reflex just wants to kick in with a mouthful of cream cheese ! I think you did pretty darn well...if you do it again research more menu ideas to make it alittle easier for you..I think dana carpenter has some on her site, guess I should check that out before I tell you that..and 2 pounds is 2 pounds...be proud that you gave it a shot ! I keep trying to work up the nerve to do it again too.

Are you planning to stay in Induction Holly? I imagine the Induction food choices will seem like a feast compared to what you've been doing. ;) Hope you're having a great weekend!
