Wore completely out tonight. I forced myself to get up early, and take my little one on a walk to the park, which he enjoyed to the fullest. Actually felt amazing to be out and active, again.

Work has really put a damper on my exercising.
1. Being I work full evening shift =(
2. I'm on my feet for 8 hours a day
3. My time goes to my child when I'm home.

I was thinking past weight loss, having a goal of getting a new job? Maybe, a slender body could help boost my confidence to push myself that extra step. But, as of now I'm stuck thinking I can't do better, although I'm a smart fully capable person.

I've also decide on this round 3 with weight loss not to weigh in daily.. Actually lost confidence in seeing higher number after a drop. It felt like I wasn't going anywhere, when I actually was. So then I actually gained 9lbs after last time.

Finally, I've not been dropping my calories so low this time. Last time it left me starving at work with tons of junk food around. Now, I make sure to fill up before work, and a certain amount of time during. If I'm stuffed on the good stuff, then no room for the bad. Been doing awesome on my soda addiction, too... I was drinking 3-5 bottles a day. Sad, huh?

So everyone wish me luck, and I'll try my best. Best to everyone else as well.

If you get discouraged from daily weigh-ins, then DEFINITELY go for a weekly weigh-in. It's not like it actually affects the total weight lost anyways, right? I would recommend to weigh yourself weekly, or bi-weekly, and measure all the important areas. Make sure you know what progress you're having. Maybe find a scale that measures bodyfat? I use mine to stay sane when my weight haven't droppped a while. Who cares if we don't drop weight if we lose body fat. THAT is the goal, right?

I completely agree with Keld. One month I didn't lose a single pound but my body fat dropped 1%. Glad you are learning what works best for you. Keep it up.

Keld is the man-listen to him! About a new job, get your resume updated. Maybe apply for some new jobs, can't hurt, the worst they can do is say no, and if anything it'll give you practice for the one that's out there calling to you. THAT might be the confidence booster you need. That, and getting out of a job you're unhappy with? Make no mistake-being a parent is a full time job. But it's great that you got out with him. He will also give you the confidence you need. Embrace it! Good luck, and hang in there!

I've been weighing in whenever I "feel skinny." This last time I was discouraged I put in my food/ exercise every day in here, then added up the amount of calories I cut each day. Those calories I then divided by 3,500 (which is a pound), and realized how good I was doing. About a job.. I'm happy with my job, but I can't work evenings with my child being in school in the mornings. I couldn't deal with that, so I have to have something else. Also, being directly in town, you see many things you don't want to lol. And, my scale does measure body fat (it's an expensive one), but it's never the same each time you get on... So I don't trust it. Maybe I'll start using it again soon! I appreciate all the responses, and positive suggestions. I'm trying my best!
