I got up this morning and tried a new aqua aerobics class. It wasn’t enough of a workout for me and I ended up treading water to keep my heart rate up while the geriatrics chatted pretending they are working out. They are all nice, but there was a full 10 minutes they just stretched and floated around in the middle of the class. I had to go to the teacher and ask if it was over. I just stayed back and treaded away. So glad I can swim. The water was so warm and sooo nice. I was pretty proud of myself getting there by 9:00 am.

I was going to meet my neighbor to do the noon zumba but she canceled. Got home, took dog out for a walk, then I zoned out on FS reading journals. I think between eating lunch and falling asleep, I have wasted 4 hours. Where does the time go! I still have laundry to fold.

Now I am eyeing the schedule for the classes tonight. Hmmm…. I would really like to burn a few more calories! On Monday, I was on the elliptical and I started doing intervals. I did 40 minutes of 30 seconds HARD and 30 seconds EZ. Level set at 12 for hard and 6-8 for my easy! That is super! I was stuck at level 4 the past few months going along and my heart rate was around 200. Now I can actually work out and my heart rate is around 160 on the higher levels. YIPPIE. This means I am able to strengthen my legs at the higher level.

So what should I do tonight? I think I might try the spin class again at 6:45 since my cardio seems to be getting stronger. Then there is a 8pm yoga. Hmmm. We’ll see… I am hovering at 159.5 / 160 and am determined to crack that darn egg and splat the 160’s for good. I am super focused, super determined, SUPER happy I am finally taking my life back. YIPPIE again!

Wow! You're really getting er done. That's funny that you have to go and ask the teacher if you're done, since you can't tell the difference between the geriatrics fooling around or working out. Haha! You just keep getting your own heartrate up and you'll get there. Good job!

Man I wish I had so much available where I live. Walking is about it here. I do have a yoga DVD but I think you have a harder time knowing if you are doing something correctly. And the company of other people is important for me too. You are doing great!!!!
