Drat. I walked my 10k steps, did some upper body exercise and, since by 10 pm I had only had about 20 net gr carbs, just knew that I would see at least an incremental weight loss this morning. Then I decided to eat an ounce of nuts since I was really hungry. Earlier in the day, I had had an ounce of macadamias and noticed that they were quite low carb. Did I measure out another ounce of macadamias? No, in one of those sleepy and distracted late night moments of distraction or whatever, I opened up the cashews and used them instead. Why, oh why, did I not stop to check their carb content? Can't tell you, can't tell myself.

So, several points explain this additional day of stalled weight gain: too many carbs, too many carbs late at night, too much food of any sort late at night, and being up too late anyway. Knowledge is power. So is being wide awake and having a good memory. Perhaps I should put up sticky notes where I am most likely to see them reminding me of particular hazards.

Another day, another opportunity to do better and end the stall.

The reason I was up so late is because I was putting together my first batch of kimchi which I expect to be a good food both to plain enjoy eating but also to fit well into LCHF eating. The live cultures of probiotics should do great things for my entire system, especially the finicky gut flora. I am so excited to see how closely my kimchi will approximate the Sunja's brand that I have been buying at Whole Foods.
175.4 lb Lost so far: 9.6 lb.    Still to go: 20.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
