ctlss's Journal, 08 February 2013

Cold and gray, but no rain today. Went and had the oil changed in the car, then to Tractor Supply for dog food, cat food, and softener salt. Then to Dollar Tree for Valentine's stuff to give out Sunday to the kiddos at church. After Dollar Tree, Wally World for the stuff I can't get anywhere else. We got home about 5:30, fed the animals, and I bbq'd and made cream cheese stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers. I bbq'd pork chops, pork steaks, brats, boneless skinless chicken thighs, and italian sausage patties. We made squash, broccoli, and cauliflower. We now have enough food for lunches for several days. Now we are watching movies, Alex Cross and The House At The End Of The Street.

Tomorrow I need to put together the Valentine's bags and cards for the kiddos, then we go to mom's for the evening.

I haven't heard any more from Simon Peter, and am hoping that isn't a bad sign. Please keep praying.

Well, that's all the news that's fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in yours!

What a busy busy day. It sound like you are back to normal and over that nasty cold. Sending best wishes to your friend and his sick child.

As usual, you don't let any grass grow under your feet. I love to cook in batches too. Especially grilled food keeps its flavor through warm-ups.

I've not been eating much meat or poultry lately so your BBQ description had me drooling on my iPad! Lol! Continuing prayers for little Christina Marie and her parents. Did I tell you Marie is my middle name too and the name of my beloved maternal grandmother who has been gone from this earth for more than 2 decades?

Great job on the food prep, Stef. Don't you just love Alex Cross? I've never see him in video, TV or film, though... just in the books. Have a great Sunday.
