Ugh, been bedridden since Sunday (so no long run, argh!) with the flu. Dragged myself into work today though, but not feeling great.

I plan to do my fast day tomorrow (Thur) as norm, but didn't do one on Monday - my body was extremely hungry and craving carbohydrates, so i took the stance that it knew what it wanted to get better and I fed it.

Consequently, I expect I am above my target weight now, but that doesn't matter - what matters is I am healthy (and my clothes are still nice and loose - I haven't gained any inches back, yay!). I will lose the extra lbs soon I am sure, wo I will weigh in in a little while, just not yet.

I did get some fab new trousers last Friday! And have two pairs that i have ear-marked for disposal, as although they have always been big on me, they are now massive!! So - as long as I can fit into those new trousers, they will be my yardstick for how I am feeling!

Good outlook! I am sorry to hear your not feeling well though. I am glad you listened to your body on Monday. I am sure it is quite thankful for it. Hope you make it through your fast day tomorrow.

Get yourself well, and you might be surprised fighting off an infection takes a lot of energy.

Thanks guys. Today wasn't too bad - took it easy at the gym first thing, then took my guys out for a little run at lunchtime - wasn't as hard as I thought so thats a good sign! On another note, I've got my first school governor's meeting as a governor tonight, exciting!! Tomorrow's fast should be fine (and I'm looking forward to it) - got a nice dinner planned with other half, so think I will have quite an aggressive fast in the daytime to save calories for the meal together rather than 'wasting' them at work. I only have yoga to do tomorrow, so that is fairly straight forward. Still got my evening meal to come which is brown rice, veges and chicken so that's cool; I've eaten well and healthily today. Not long til lent - I've decided to give up chocolate for it! I don't think i have EVER gone without chocolate for even a week so it will be tough but am soooo looking forward to the challenge!

Glad you are feeling better! I wish I was as organized as you with the food plan! I'm sort of planning to fast on Thursday & Saturday this week. Going to limit the calorie intake on those days as best I can anyway. What is the Governor's meeting? I know my niece attended a Governor's school here years ago. It was just a summer thing.

Glad you listened to your body.... When we are not well, the body tends to crave carbs, so it can fight off the germs..... Get better soon :-)
