SUNNY MONDAY...
and a nice 55 degrees, but the snow is hanging around. My grammy used to say when it does this it is just waiting for more! LOL We had a fun time last night, ate good food, and still stuck to our lifestyle. What an odd SB game. The lights going out was truly the most bizarre thing I have ever seen happen in a game like that. I thought they should just play in the half light...would have been interesting to watch!
Food has been good, but, dang it, I need to get my exercise-less butt in gear, but can't do it yet. I wish this cough would leave me alone, as every time I overexert, I start up and it is like having a spasm in my lungs. A friend at church who happens to be an MD, said the cough lasts about 8 weeks. I suppose the good thing there is it should be gone at about the time spring arrives and I can start walking again.
Sheets, comforter, and mattress pad are in the wash, bedroom and rest of the house has been aired out some, to get the germy air out of here. I love sleeping on freshly washed sheets...just so comfy and snuggly! We are going to rotisserie a rump roast on the gas grill tonight to go with our salad, green beans, and maybe some mashed cauliflower. I think Dan is going to boil some eggs for me to devil as well.
Well, that's about all the news that's fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in yours!
TTFN!!

I feel for ya on that cough, they do last so much longer than the cold itself. Have fun with that rump roast and veggies. Time for dinner!

Sure hope you can get back to being your old self soon. Your meals always sound so good. We don't use our grill much in the winter. Think it is about time to change all that.

8 weeks coughing sounds very long to me... Is there anything you can do about it? Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil in a big bowl of super hot water, inhale for a few minutes, a couple of times a day for a week. That's what I do... But I never got this terrible flu you had, so it might be different.

Oh Steph..that coughing is the pits..If I got hot I would start coughing too...so embarrassing in public..Hope your feeling better soon..Love and Hugs..:O)

That would have been funny to see them play in half-light.. it would have been like a candlelit game! :) Have you ever tried any sort of inhaler for that cough? Might be something to talk to your MD friend about so that you don't have to wait around for 8 weeks... I completely 100% agree with your love for freshly laundered sheets - it's one of my favorite things! Most of the time my fiance doesn't even notice - ha!

Erika, I have an albuterol inhaler, but this cough is more like lung spasms. It is none productive and the inhaler really doesn't help much. I am not the only one in this boat...there are lots of members of my church family who are dealing with the lingering cough.

Buffy, we grill and bbq year round. I love cooking over charcoal, but the gas grill is perfect for rotisserie.

Anne, I have been on medication for a week now. Antibiotics and Tessla pearls for the cough. I will try your suggestion a try though. Hopefully it will help!

Bren, it is just so darned annoying...can't do anything. I just can't keep my breath. I have been carrying around bags of Halls, sharing with everyone, as they are all in the same boat! It is horrid. Hugs, my friend! Love ya!

Hi Stef, you sound pretty good considering how sick you have been. I too love a fresh bed so hope you enjoyed it. And I also hope that you don't get any more snow but as its only early February that is a remote wish at best.

8 weeks??? That sounds way too long. Was this a bronchial infection? 8 weeks sounds too long for a flu. I mean, hubby and I felt HORRIBLE, but we're no longer coughing. If there's still goo, I recommend Mucinex Max strength. It'll help get that cough working in the right way to get all the goo out. I hope you're back up n at it again soon! Sick SUCKS. Happy thoughts, Stef!

Zippy, it was the flu which turned into an upper respiratory infection and sinus infection. The doctor actually put me on a cough suppressant and told me to stop taking the expectorant, since I was having coughing spasms and it was so non-productive. I was taking Mucinex Max before then. Everyone I know who has had this flu bug (there are a couple floating around right now, including Infl A and Infl B, plus the H1N3) has had the cough for weeks after the other symptoms are gone. Thanks for the happy thoughts!

Stef, that bronchial infection sounds like it's lingering for way too long. Maybe you need another trip to the doc? I hope you feel better really, really soon so you can join Sazy and me in our steps.

Heather, the doctor told me when I went that it would take a while for the cough to go away. It is definitely better, but when I exercise too much, I start coughing again. Thanks for caring, my friend! :)
