While I do get a pick peckish in the middle of the afternoon, I'm finding that 2000 calories is easy to live with. It's only when I'm dining out that having 800-1000 calories for dinner seems low - they really do serve a double portion! Oh, and when I'd like a lot of sweets such as an ice cream sunday or such.
Still, even if losing a pound a day continues for only a week or so, that'd be awesome!
