SIGH...

Just haven't been able to get it together the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure what is wrong, but I seem to have misplaced my mojo... :( I will get back to journaling on a regular basis, but right now I am having to force myself, and that is never a good thing. The food is good, but my head is not in the game. I suspect the anniversary of dad's death, following so closely on the heels of mom's fall and head injury, have combined to bring about a case of the blues. Oh, well, this too shall pass.

The garden continues to flourish. We are having fresh green beans, pan fried with fresh zucchini, and sliced cucumbers tonight. This will accompany some baked chicken and salad. I will be really happy when the tomatoes start ripening. They are so loaded, that they are top heavy and keep pulling the cages out of the ground!

I have been walking most every day and getting in the pool when it isn't too hot. We had my oldest son's dog all last week, which was fun. He is an Italian greyhound and loves running with the big dogs! Mom went to the doctor on Thursday, and is doing well. Our friend and his family came over Friday and had dinner with us. They have decided to come to church on Sunday and see if they like it. He also seems to be doing fairly well.

Well, that's about all the news that's fit to print from my corner...hope all is well in your's!

Just for Heather, here are some pics of the garden. Sorry it took me so long to get them posted! HUGS! I included a picture of when I first planted so you can see just how my garden has grown. I am really tickled with how well it is doing!

what a fabulous garden of fresh veggies! I wish I had the talent to plant and maintain such a nice garden. I am not good with plants. I plant flowers and also have outdoor potted plants...by they almost died in the heat wave...I didn't water them enough!

Thanks, HCB! After trying for the last couple of years to find just the right area and size for me to tend, I think I have it right. The only problem I am having at this point is getting in to pick. The plants have done so well, that they took over my rows (I am going to see if I can find a picture of early this spring to compare to)! lol Sorry that your's didn't survive the heat. I have been watering for 3 hours every other day, otherwise mine would not have made it through either. Have a great Sunday!

Oh my goodness. What a garden!!! Steph I'm sorry you've been struggling. Me too. I didn't know your mom fell. She has a head injury? Oh my goodness. I'm sure the anniversary of your dad's death has something to do with your funk. Times like these I so wish I had one of those transporter machines from Star Trek. I'd come visit in a heart beat ... eat some of your garden goodies ... give a big hug ... and we could just hang out in our funkiness. My hubby is being a pain. He is having trouble with his urination after the surgery but won't call the doctor because he says there is nothing they can do. Why are men so darn stubborn? If it was me he'd have me in the darn emergency room. So ... we wait for the weekend and it isn't much fun around here as you might be able to imagine. Oh dear. I've said too much. This is what happens. I miss you my dear sweet friend but it's sure been nice to see you on Blitz!!! My way of zoning out. Take care dear.

Beautiful Stef!! I hope you find your groove soon :)

Ooooh pics! Have to confess, Stef, I saw the pics even before I read your journal. Gosh it's so beautiful. Flourish is truly the right word. It's such a blessing to be able to nourish life the way you do. I can't believe the honeydew starts like that. The pictures make me want to do a road trip. I'll be right over. LOL. Girl, you haven't lost you mojo at all. It's there with every amazing thing that you do and every amazing thing that you are. Thanks for the pics! I imagined they'd be FANTASTIC. They're better than that.

Good Morning! Sorry I missed this yesterday, because I really enjoyed the pictures. As for your lack of Mojo - never get so busy that you don't have time to take care of yourself! Are you listening to me???

Garden is spectacular and I am sure a good deal of work has been expended on it as well. Thank you for sharing your lovely pics. As far as you mojo....lots of us seem to be having difficulty with maintaining our mojo...there are seasons in our lives that just tend to make staying the course a bit more difficult. But as we all know, "this too shall pass..." Wishing you a better week...hugs!

Stef, your garden is awsome. I am sorry that you are feeling blue, but not surprised with everything that has been happening in your life. Like Gwen said, "this too shall pass". I hope you will feel better soon and that life brings you renewed energy and joy. Big HUGS!
