Little aftermath from my loss of consciousness episode 9/22 (not to be confused with same issue 11/23). In 2022 i lost consciousness and landed on the left side of my face on my travertine floor. I have never seen so much blood in my life nor have i ever experienced such pain before or since. I was home alone and on pain meds post surgery from august 26th (this was sept 5th). 2nd serious surgery in 45 days. Also dont recommend. At any rate i knocked my front teeth sideways.. was touch and go if i was going to lose them. Well i have a permanent retainer on uppers and lowers and fortunately didnt lose them thanks to said retainers, but now it is time to get them completely fixed and in doing so, found out i must have knocked my lower jaw really hard as my lower teeth are now raised higher on the left side. I didnt realize. So here we are. 60 years old and a round of Invisalign (better than the 2 orthognathic surgeries 25 years ago and round of braces tho). 6-12 months. Now they scan your teeth instead of the mold and i have the same orthodontist who worked under my ortho 25 years ago so we have a long history. Expensive little things. Was very interesting to see the before and after images of my teeth tho. Technology.

O I AM FINE!!! That original episode was September 2022 that messed up my teeth. I just needed to let enough time go by to make sure they were stabilized and I wasn’t going to lose them. I am probably the only one who notices that they aren’t completely straight (OCD). Then i had tummy tuck/brachiaplasy last summer so now i am ready. Don’t worry guys and thank you all. It’s just a round of Invisalign. The vertigo remains but is much milder than November and December. Thank you all so much for caring.

It's always something, isn't it? Ugh. Teeth. Doesn't sound like too traumatic a fix, though. Glad you're taking care of yourself 😊

Writingwyo not traumatic at all just annoying😁

I'm sorry you've had to go through all this. And it continues, doesn't it? My goodness, your poor body has gone through the wringer. You amaze me, how upbeat you are. What a courageous gal you are! And special, special, special!

Awwww Snowie thank you. I had a pretty rough childhood and my first serious relationship was very physically abusive to me with a much older man (so sorry) but i think it built a lot of strength and resilience in me so these things are not a big deal so much as they are just life. I pray nightly and have prayed for those that were not that good to me for many years (which, let me tell you, was very difficult to do in the beginning) and i always end my prayers with all the things im thankful for from my life, to my child and hubs, my furry babies and my improving health. I think if one stays stuck in a negative mental space that will certainly detract from the gift that life is. I always love when you post my friend because, frankly, i worry for you. Life is meant to be wonderfull and you have had so much loss and grief in yours . I think you must also be a very strong and resilient person.

Wow! I hope it all goes smoothly for you! Remind me, what was the final diagnosis for the vertigo?

BPPV. Benign paroxysmal something vertigo. Had 5 days about 8 days ago symptom free and then started coming back tho much milder. Nearly fell over after the scan yesterday but think was because they laid me back so far in the chair.

E1320-2060, sometimes it doesnt have anything to do with calories. Teeth are an important thing for eating. Alot of us have been following this brave womans journey for a very long time. We love updates.

@E1320-2060. Mostly i use this journal just for my own recollection of what has been going on in my life at any particular time. You can read or not read it doesnt matter to me. I have made some friendships on here that i treasure and often you will see where folks post things that have nothing to do with “calories” but everything to do with what is going on at that time which, ultimately, let’s face it, may impact the way we eat whether it be over indulging or forgetting to eat depending on what is going on. I dont care who you are i think everyone can relate to that. So that is my roundabout way of saying that LIFE impacts calories. Not really a lecture just something to think about.

Dazey-amen honey. Thank you. And yep, teeth are important. Can you imagine trying to eat without them? Would be a very soft diet😁
