First, Congrats on successfully achieving your goal. You look great! If it was me, I would consider skin removal too. I wouldn't want to carry around the reminder. Plus I think you do what makes you feel better. No matter what you decide I applaud your hard work. 👏💪😀

I think you are on the right track to get surgery and especially if that is what you want. I think of some of the things I do at the gym and would think it could be very uncomfortable. I mean we have sports bras for a reason right? I don’t think anyone should judge you for wanting to be comfortable in your own skin. You worked hard to get it off not to be able to wear what you want. My opinion but honestly if I would have had to have a mastectomy I was going to get new ones. I get it!

Yes, congratulations on the huge loss! This is a big decision. You need to think hard about the pros and cons. I think the list will be longer on the pro-side, but there will be serious risks on the con-side. This procedure is becoming pretty common. However, there are risks and possible complications to every surgery. This is not an easy decision. I would discuss it with your husband and surgeon to make sure that you both understand and are comfortable with your decision.

If I were younger, I would definitely do it. Just do your research of the procedures and especially the surgeon. Ask for references and talk to others who have had the surgery you are considering. Good luck.

Your weight loss is dramatic and amazing.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I do agree with @LessFluffy -- I would have it removed, too, as that looks uncomfortable and possibly chafing. I also agree with @UnhealthyDaddy in that because it's elective surgery, you should discuss it with your spouse as it will be a big financial spend $$$, in addition to causing you to be out of commission for a few weeks recovering from the surgery. Whatever you decide, we're behind you on your continued journey to health.💚

Try lifting for a couple months and see what happens. Then, if it still bugs you, go for it.

I'd do it if I could afford it. You look great btw! Congrats!

I've been thinking about this a lot because it's already starting to happen to me; all that loose skin! I hear that you can instigate autophagy via fasting, but I don't know how realistic that is; some of those youtube doctors are a little enthusiastic. Maybe try for autophagy for six months, and then if that doesn't work start saving up for skin removal? xx you've done such an amazing job of weight loss. Thank you for offering your experiences up to help the rest of us who are not as far ahead as you are.

Imalittlelessfluffynow thank you i will still have the reminder as the scar is very very big but will be much prettier in clothes. Redporchlady you are my superhero🥰. I had breasts done 25 years ago and no one judges but the arms holy smokes different story. TUD thank you so much I’m essentially at goal weight but going to continue for those vanity pounds/flex for meals out times. My husband fortunately is super supportive I’m so lucky. He doesn’t keep threatening food in the house, he walks miles and miles with me before he goes to work and for some weird reason he thinks the moon and the stars and the sun rise and set on ME! I’m very lucky. He’s never seen me more than 15 lbs or so overweight till past 8 years and loved me just the same at 227 as he did at 145. The surgeon is the premier most eminent surgeon for skin removal in the country just unfortunately not in my state but i will travel. Goal thank you will check out. Shirfleur I’m sending you 🤗 hugs. Just bananas thank you for your support. I’m very fortunate in that if i go forward its an expense we can absorb but yes it is very very costly. Katsolo Ive been in physical therapy from 1/22 to 11/22 and strength training from 11/22 to currently. Ive met with two local surgeons and there is no magic way of lifting to make this go away. It is literally inches and inches of excess skin sadly. My own fault of course. Thank you all of you for taking the time to give me your thoughts. I appreciate all of you and am so glad i found this website in January. Just think if i would have found this community earlier🧏‍♀️🧚‍♂️🥳

Bubbles thank you!!!btw you are a funny 👧 girl! I have never heard of autophagy but will check it out. Thank you for responding to me. You will get there. It’s a day at a time right. Ive been underweight healthy weight and overweight and am now at a place where i can ask myself if five minutes of food that isn’t healthy for me is worth the work to get off. Ive had no ice cream since last June and ice cream is my kryptonite so quite possibly never have again as it could set me off on a secret binge. Breaking sugar addiction is a 🐻 bear! Bearnoggin thank you also. I FEEL Great…

Congratulations, girl!!! Surgery is a big decision that only you can make. If you do decide on surgical intervention, investigate the plastic surgeon carefully. My sister had surgery on her arms, which resulted in permanent scars the length of the underside of her arm. My daughter had skin reduction and lipo with much more success!!!
