Kat, some of the words that come up when I am trying to spell something in spanish are hilarious, but also frustrating. ✝️ ✝️ ✝️ would have worked. 😉😄

Kat, we came down to buy supplies for veg. garden. Very small container vegetable garden and mulch for my side garden and some accessories for a wedding we're attending next week. Always a bit of a battle (fun battle) to get Joe to agree to any type of clothing purchase! 😄

Sidney, this was the caramel I remember as a child. Relatives used to bring it,from mexico I assume. It came in a small round wooden box with a lid. I think it was bamboo, because you would break off the band frim the lid and use it to scoop out the caramel. Delicious memories. 😋

Wifey, I have recipes for all of it. Just let me know. 💕 Neither Joe or I finished our meal. We just finished leftovers from his cousin's chile roast get together and brunch that took place over Labor Day weekend! I am trying to be good. 😫

Yf, the only time I remember eating it was at my Tia Maria's house. She was my mother's father's sister and we (my mother, sister and myself) lived with her for a few years when I was young. My aunt would make the best toast. She used a comal (griddle) and would smash the butter into the bread as it toasted and sometimes sprinkle sugar and cinnamon. That's the only food I remember her making us. 😄 I think it was her youngest son (Uncle Beto) that would bring us the caramel. She had 3 sons and they were all very nice to us. My aunt Mary had owned a cleaners with her husband and my mother told me she used to keep 2 sets of books. 🤫 👮♂️

Jen, my friend, I just posted this less than 2 hours ago, so you're not late. Talking about scootching in, the tables, booths and chairs are all decorated with scenes of landscapes, Mexican dancers and cactus. It's so festive and colorful. Great food and great atmosphere. 😍😋

Right Letty? It's not like american caramel, so much better. I'm so happy someone knows what it is. 😋💕👍
