I work at a psych hospital and love tennis. I have not played for a year. I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren with one on the way. I don't mind being 57 years old and want to look forward to more living.

Motivation through others.
I have trouble with the exercise too. I love it when I do it though. I had 14 workout days last month and am setting a goal for this month of 20 days. At the least it must be 30 minutes. I'm going to start walking (going to listen to books) this month. I give a easy exercise class 1 day a week at work and am thinking I could do a walk on my lunch half hour. My daughter is my workout buddy and helps motivate me as well. We, also, have a workout board at work to encourage each other. I'm only a month in (this time) and have a lot to lose. I am trying to get into a natural rhythm or routine. Sometimes it's hard because I work a lot of overtime. But, just ask me. . .I can find an excuse if I want one.

Keto help !!!
I have learned that initially you can have 30 grams or less of carb while becoming keto adapted and then , like the movie stars, you can have a cheat meal every once in a while without changing your fat burning body. Currently, while strict, I can have 1/4 cup of berries. I do eat many vegetables that are low carb like spinach, zucchini, cauliflower, green beans, asparagus, artichoke, broccoli, good collard greens with bacon etc. Check out keto recipes on Pinterest. Very yummy.

Ideas about Ketogenic Diet
I am following Dr. Berg's Intermittent Fasting and Keto diet. He is all about the healing of the body systems so that you can lose weight and keep it off, as well as, reverse High Blood Pressure, Fatty Liver, insulin resistance, Diabetes and more. He wants no sugar and only vegetable carbs. He has many videos on YouTube. You have a lot of juices and carbs in your diet, is it working for you? There are several Keto cookbooks out there but meals are mostly vegetables and protein. There are many free download recipes on line as well. I'm sure you can get books at the library too. Last night I ate a kale, spinach and other fresh greens with baked chicken, small avocado and tomato salad with low carb ranch dressing. Today I had pork roast, cooked carrots, raw broccoli with ranch, an avocado and pumpkin seeds. Dr. Berg addresses the need for potassium and sodium balance as well as high nutritional fat to keep insulin levels from spiking so our bodies can lose fat. You might want to check out some of his videos to steer you towards good health and weight loss.
