Tried Atkins about 15 years ago and did well. Stopped because too restrictive at the time. Decided to try it again because I did do well first time. I like the "New" Atkins. Less restrictive with the vegetables. Just started and I look forward to total success this time around.

I am 60 and have 60 pounds to lose.....

Very painful, I know. I had Plantar faciitus too but it has been relieved. But, I do need to wear arch supports in my shoes, which is ok. The good thing is you are here and on your way to take it a day at a time to reduce your weight. No more quick fixes for me. I started with the Atkins for a month and now transitioning very very slowly to add in more carbs - but treading slowly. I don't want to gain back. Still have about 40 to 50 pounds to lose but I am not discouraged. Good luck in your journey. Be sure to track your foods if possible at each meal.

Exercise
If I exercised for 60 minutes and burned 450 calories, is it ok to go over my net carbs for that same day by just a few points. Right now I am at 23.?? net carbs and should not go over 25. But with dinner, I may be around 26 max in net carbs. Am I being too cautious?

Exercise
Does anyone track their exercise activity on this site? If so, how do you track exercise that is not noted (for example, run, swim, eliptical, treadmill, etc.?

Tracking of Exercise
Why is the tracking of exercise on fatsecret so limited to walking and a few other types of exercise? Am I missing something.
