Hi, everyone! I am on my second week in the Zone, and I have to say that I am so happy with it! I lost 6 pounds the first week, though I know that most of it was water weight, but my energy levels are higher, and already I have lost the taste for many processed carbs. I'm not even tempted by my old habits!
I am looking forward to getting to know some of you, and help support one another as we better ourselves together!

I had a great NSV (non-scale victory...old WW discussion board lingo, lol) yesterday! A couple of weeks ago, I was shoe shopping, and came across a great pair of knee-length boots....on sale.....in my size (which for pointy-toed shoes is an 11, so this was rare to say the least). Unfortunately for me, I was cursed with my dad's calf muscles, meaning that they bulk up really quickly, develop a stubborn layer of fat, and are hard to tone. So, I try on these fantastic boots, and I could not get them to zip all of the way.
I was out yesterday, and happened to come across these same boots, now cheaper, and decided to try them on. Not only do they zip, but they look FANTASTIC! It gave me that bit of motivation that I needed, to say the least!

Despite being sick, I managed a loss, which is great. Now I get to start over today!

I am thinking that on Monday, I am going to start the Couch to 5k program. I've never been a big fan of running, but it seems easy enough, and at least would get me out of the house three days a week.
Has anyone else tried this with even moderate success?
