Well, it looks as if I'm going to find my way into the next decade in .2lb increments! lol.
With The Firm DVD's I appear to be shaping up, but the weight is sure taking its time. I think it's time for me to see what I can do to shake things up a bit.

Well, I wasn't even close to a scale last week, so I was a little nervous; however, I have managed to weigh in at the same weight so "Woo hoo" for me, lol!
The heat is as such that I haven't been able to exercise as intensely as I usually do. I'm stuck in the 160's (still) and am determined to break the back of it this week.

I feel that The Firm DVDs are working nicely for me. I certainly look more streamlined, but I'm not going to measure yet. I'm only down .2lb though, which is a little disappointing. I didn't think, at my age, that I was going to lose pounds and pounds so quickly - still, getting out of the 160s (finally, lol) would have been nice!
Maybe next week?

Weighing in a day early, because I won't be here tomorrow.
Well, I'm back down the half pound I gained the week before which is definitely a step in the right direction. It was my birthday on Monday, and I definitely didn't meet my challenge of getting to below 150lbs by then but, still, a loss this week was GREAT considering the early weigh in and the fact that I didn't go crazy eating birthday cake and stuff.
I'm currently doing The Firm 30 Day Express Workouts which is a nice change of pace. It's fantastic to get my workout over so quickly but, mainly because of my age, I'm doing the workouts 5 times a week instead of 3 and they're really kicking butt! Has anyone else had experience with this set? I just wondered what you thought of it?

Well, I'm up a half pound which isn't as bad as I thought. Because my birthday is on Monday, people everywhere whom I've not seen for some time are looking to celebrate with me! lol Actually, though, I followed my plan pretty well. I only ate a small cupcake on Thursday.
I've changed my exercise DVDs too, as the ones I have been using were getting incredibly boring. The new ones are "The Firm" and are short: 20 min, very high intensity, rather than slow and steady. Hopefully this means that I will exercise for a shorter time period, while being more efficient. Got to keep an eye on things though; being in menopause has sometimes sent me all over the scales for no reason whatsoever. It may be that 20 mins is not enough exercise for me. They have recommended 3 times a week. I am doing the set 5 times a week.
Oh, and I measured to see if the new exercises will ultimately make a difference. I'd LOVE to have a waistline for the first time in my life. They "say" one can lose up to 15lbs in a month; however, I'm sure that's for a 20 or 30 something, not necessarily a 54 year old, lol!
