Height: 5'2" -- Age 45. Wife to one, mom to two (sons 19 and 12), sister to three, business owner of two (mid-market business analysis/strategy firm + organic face&body products). Always been chubby and always worn a lot of hats. And for most of my life, I have let those busy hats define my days. I lost about 60 lbs as a young woman in my early 20's -- the right way (real food|whole food|exercise). But life (love, marriage, kids, work) allowed me an easy path to put self on the back row. Now, I refuse to get any heavier or buy a larger dress size (my max is always near 300, then I start to feel it). I love clothes, shoes and makeup but it is not as much fun anymore at the "ms. plus" stores. I want each of my sons to enjoy his life and not be encumbered by weight (I was a chubby kid, so I know). They have missed out on DisneyWorld because I didn't think I'd fit in those darned spinning teacups! I'm finally researching food + nutrition and am ready to do something for me -- my health and to help secure a long life of quality years. My family is learning too and making changes with me (occasionally), but it doesn't matter whether they continue...I must (though I find it very difficult and guilt-ridden to leave them behind in my healthquest). If you're serious about getting your rear in gear, JOIN ME and let's laugh along the way!
