Older women????
Well, the weekend went as I figured - the party was a success, and the cake, which was delicious, was a nice break from my diet. Then yesterday, I was back to watching what I ate, although we shared a craft beer. But my good news: Saturday I did pool work and wore my scuba gear, and the wet suit, which was painfully tight before, was only as tight as it was supposed to be! So despite the scale failing me, I have lost inches around my belly! Woo-hoo!

Older women????
I tried Atkins once and didn't lose at all. I'm doing something wrong, I know it. I do have more energy with cutting out sugar, though. I don't eat much bread/starch, although I don't avoid it completely.

Older women????
I go to my workout, it's twice a week and it kicks my ass but I like it. I add in at least one more day a week of either a brisk walk or putting on music and dancing around at home, plus doing sit ups every day. And what happens? I gained 2 lbs. But my clothes are fitting better, so that's something. I was thinking I would break the 200 lb plateau but I guess not. Last time I broke it I had pneumonia and was sick for ten days... that's not an option!

Older women????
I love this forum, too. It's so good to know I'm not the only older woman fighting this fight... I go to my workout and it's all young women and I feel old and creaky!

Older women????
Not posting much but following along as well. Yesterday I had to dig out some jeans that I had put away because they were too tight. They fit now! So does my scuba suit I bought when I could barely zip it - that was my impetus to lose weight. I can zip it now though it's still too tight. I figure in 10 more lbs it will fit more comfortably.
I feel better without sugar although I still have a lot of pain in my joints that supposedly would go away without sugar, but it hasn't.
Hot flashes have pretty much disappeared except for the early-AM one that shows up like clockwork...
