loveshope26's Journal, 16 June 2017

I have added carbs back into my diet this week. I am not even worried about my weight right now because I was expecting some water weight gain with added carbs back in. I feel 100 times better though. My sleep and workouts have improved a lot. So, I may stick with this even if my weight loss is slow.

I'm with y'all. My thought process now is pretty much as long as I'm sticking to portions and not stuffing my face with junk food or over eating, then I'm ok with whatever the scale says. It's nice to get to the point where you feel good about yourself and your body composition 😉

Right now I am sticking to just counting calories, exercising, and trying to eat as healthy as possible (which is totally out the window today since there will be pizza involved 😂 but I am sticking to only eating a little) Even though my weight hasn't moved, I have lost half an inch of my hips.

I think the comments are right - you have made amazing progress, and working out is probably the best thing you can do right now, rather than focusing just on the numbers on the scale. Muscle weighs more than fat! And takes your hips down :-) Life without pizza is really hard for a mom with 4 kids! Sticking to only eating a little is a great way to maintain emotional equilibrium, along with getting healthier. Slow and steady is better for keeping the weight off in the long run, speaking as one who has put it on and taking it off and put it on again.

One of my biggest tricks is never to weight myself if I know I've ate a lot of food the night before. LOL...sometimes I go on these weekend food binges and to be honest I won't weight myself until I know I've stabilized by eating again.
