Eating fish helps keep my daily calorie intake low < 1000 per day. So I'm going to try adding the avocado and see how it affects me. I really struggle to understand the concept of starvation mode. But I don't think I want to eat 750 calories a day for the rest of my life. I am very short, 4'11". A Weight Watcher leader once commented to me, "Yeah, short people have a hard time." I'll avoid the red meat again this week and stay away from the high carb vegetables.
BTW - some of this -4 is probably some adjustment for previous 2 weeks.

You are doing incredibly well -- I am so impressed. Ultimately, I'm trying to get from 234 to 134, so believe me I understand the challenges you face! I am also trying to eat more fish because of lower calorie count AND lower cholesterol/saturated fat. Do you like herring? -- I really like it, but I was having trouble finding a brand that didn't have a sulfited vinegar or win in it, since I have a sulfite allergy. I just discovered a brand at Whole Foods that I can eat. So my new snack is herring! I suppose it is kind of weird, but a very satisfying serving is 105 calories and very low carb, so that's my new thing. I am in awe of your ability to stay below 1,000. I ate like that in college, but I can't do it anymore. I've just had to settle for very slow weight loss. Good luck.
