Sarah1950's Journal, 29 March 2016

I sat on jury duty for the past week. It was difficult to listen to everything, and then not be able to talk about any of it. Ultimately I was chosen to be one of the alternates so I didn't even get to deliberate the verdict or view the evidence to get answers to my questions. There was no closure for me.

It is so hard for me to do more than one thing at a time. My solution is always to turn to food. It's just not a good situation. I have to teach myself some defense methods as well as how to deal with the unexpected. I have to find my own voice.

Anyway I didn't lose any weight this week, but staying the same is a bonus bc I didn't eat well or do my walking. I am back on track with my food...will start walking again tomorrow.

Jury duty can be tough! Somehow I've made it without ever actually sitting on a jury - although I get called often and have been interviewed a couple times. I understand the "doing more than one thing at a time" I am NOT a multi-tasker. Giving myself permission to just be myself helps.
