Note to self:

- This is the only body you have. You would like it to last for another 25 years, and you would like to enjoy and remain active for as many of those years as you can. Replacement parts are not always available, very expensive, and never work as well as originals if they work at all. Major procedures are not so hot either. You need to focus on routine and preventive maintenance.

- You are a being with free will and intelligence. You decide and choose a great many things related to the health of your body and mind: what you put into them, and what you do with them.

- The results of either good or poor choices may not be evident for quite some time. This is a trap. Don't fall into it. Know that you will regret (and that word is not strong enough) systematic poor choices, not today, not tomorrow, but next month or next year. And be confident that you will benefit (also, not strong enough) from the results of systematic good choices over time.

- Make better choices a matter of habit for the rest of your life. If you make poor choices occasionally, don't feel guilty, but be aware when you are making them and how often you are making them lest they become routine.

- Continue to monitor and track yourself, and stay active in supportive communities. It is even more important to do so AFTER you have reached your initial goal.
