Happy Monday. I hope it goes well. I have never had an MRI so I am not sure how that would be like.

Hope all goes well with your MRI! My mom and one of my 3 sisters had breast cancer so the hospital is always pretty careful when reviewing my mammograms. I had a breast MRI a few years ago. I think i was laying face down so didn't feel claustrophobic.

Best of luck with MRI! Whenever I go to Hobby Lobby, I mistakenly think I'm crafty and but way too much, which then sits on the bed of my extra bedroom till I finally put it away in the closet. I used to be crafty but my old lady brain doesn't allow it anymore....

Yes- Fritzy- it is face down. I told my friend that I will just pretend it is a massage I'm waiting for. Diana- I have never been crafty so I am not in danger of purchasing anything like that. Yes- Sherry- Hobby Lobby can be dangerous. Thanks all. I guess it will take a few days to read the results and then hopefully get this lumpectomy done. I just want it all over and the bills paid from it. I hate wondering what the cost is going to be for all of this.

I've had lots of MRIs, you won't have problems holding breath or staying still, it isn't difficult. I just close my eyes and relax. Holding you in my heart. 💚💜💛

My insurance has always covered the costs.

All the best DP. ❤️ Bosom. 😆😆😆 Such old fashioned term. Love it. 😂😂 My take from this was how you have to ‘pay’ for this. Have never done that in Canada. I can’t imagine. Is it like hundreds or thousands??

I'm ready to move there, Wifey. The biopsy was $2400 or something I just paid. This MRI is $745 AFTER my insurance is paying 80%. So... With the actual procedure itself- IDK- but I think I will have met my out of pocket or deductible. I always have to google what the difference is- and then insurance will pay the rest. I am thankful that we can do it but sad that it isn't being spent on a vacation or something more fun.

I get MRI’s fairly frequently including breast mri’s (dense breast tissues, family history of breast cancer) and i have found having music on helps. Ask them if they have music and to turn it on for you in the mri. They should be able to give you a headset and pick a genre you like. Makes it go by so much easier even tho they are loud.

I don't find the MRIs to be too bad for claustrophobia but I can't get over how loud they are. I'm a very sound sensitive person and they are so so loud. I tried music and I'll typically have it on but it doesn't really cover enough of the sound to be helpful for me. I hope your MRI goes well and that everything is exactly what they wanted to be when they look at the pictures. 💜

I found it fun to try to listen for a repeated rhythm in the loud 'bangs' as it circled around the table. There were sections where indeed there was a pattern repeating.

Leah- it was crazy. I thought I had had one in the past but I haven't. They gave me ear plugs but it was close to unbearable. Thankful it's over.
