WE are thinking about a Firestick too but don't have Amazon Prime. Not sure how much all of this would cost.

Thanks Morticia! I've had Amazon Prime this entire century so far! Got it for free shipping but the added benefits are Prime Video and even music. Prime is just over $100 a year which I get back in just free shipping. The firestick was around $40. No other cost for that. Some of the streaming services I'm interested in are $5-$10 a month. Some are free. I think I am just going to take some time to get used to it and only add one app that l'll pay for. I can watch the local news from their website

Thanks Bill! Right now I am only posting my weight once a week with a 1 pound goal each week. Through 8 weeks I've lost 9.2. Just have to stay motivated.

Great job! As for fire stick, it takes a bit of maneuvering but you'll get it.👍

Thanks Diana! Setting a weekly weight loss goal keeps me focused more than last year when I could never meet my 5 pounds a month goal. As for watching TV I've decided to take it slow. I wanted to get rid of the $130 a month charge for Dish and don't want to start adding services that are $10 or more each month until I figure out how I am going to watch tv now.

You might need to download the app on the prime home screen.

Thank Juli6. I did download the app for Peacock. Did several steps and have received emails from them confirming my email address. I got stuck when they asked about parental controls. Couldn't figure out how to enter a code and then it told me the code was wrong. They never asked for payment so I'm okay without it now

I don’t know if your remote has a voice component, but that solved a lot of problems for my mom. She asks Alexa or Siri how to find everything for her on the tv. Just keep the questions or commands simple.

Thanks Kat it does have Alexa, something I never used before.but I've tried it a couple times and it helps. Problem is, Bobby starts barking because he doesn't know who I am talking to! I just managed to sign up for Paramount Plus and now have it on my Kindle Fire. I can't believe how many current shows and old shows. I've selected about a dozen favorites and will likely keep adding. Love all the Star Trek series, Frasier, and even the local news are available. CBS shows. Having fun today
